I try to maintain the habit of blogging every week. I am the type of person that if I take a break I typically will quit. Just ask my local gym.
Most of the time I have no problem finding a topic I want to write about, but this week I can’t narrow the topic down. So in an effort to not give up my weekly blogging goal, I have decided to go with the flow and write out all the things I have been thinking about this week.
Politics: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, Hillary Clinton, and Bernie Sanders walk into a bar…no just kidding. I find all these people fascinating and I will leave it at that.
Weather: Hurricane Joaquin is not joke. This could be another Superstorm Sandy but no one knows for sure because this storm is as unpredictable as they get.
Nefertiti’s Tomb: Looks like an archaeologist might have found the Queen’s tomb. This is great; I guess. I always think about the crazy curses people talk about in relation to opening a tomb. Final resting places just seem to me like they should be final.
Facebook Hoax: Wow…just wow. People keep getting sucked into this one. Here are the official Facebook terms of service: “You own all of the content and information you post on Facebook, and you can control how it is shared through your privacy and application settings.” But I say, just don’t post stupid stuff and you will be fine.
Dunkin’ Donuts: Right after National Coffee Day, Dunkin’ Brands announced that one of its franchisees plans to close 100 Dunkin’ Donut stores. Dunkin’ also said that many franchisees are getting anxious about minimum wage increases that are set to go into effect across the country.
And amid all of this, the U.S. economy only added 142,000 jobs in September…keeping the unemployment rate at 5.1%. Fewer jobs mean more people are looking for work and this is where I can help…send me your job descriptions and Synergy America can find the right people for your positions. We will make sure you only get resumes for qualified and quality candidates.
